The Ovarian Cancer Community Outreach, Inc. (OCCO) recently donated $5,000 to the St. Vincent Cancer Research Institute. This generous support will help to offset the costs associated with activating and offering additional ovarian cancer clinical trials. In addition, it will help offset some of the costs of procedures required for individual patients on studies which are not billable to insurance or the patient, and need to be provided by the research program. New studies designed to find better ways to treat this devastating disease are being developed each year.  Dr. Jonathan Tammela, Gynecologic Oncologist, and the St. Vincent Cancer Research Institute are committed to making those leading edge treatments available to the patients of our region.  We deeply appreciate the OCCO's commitment to that goal as well.
